#NEWCOLOURS AND #SHAPES #FORMEX AND #STOCKHOLM

Second day at Formex and the colours are coming together. Pinks and yellows, together. A fresh and "new" combination that feels spicy and fresh. Green plants are back indoors and with them new plant pots are needed. These are from Isadeco.

The rug have new shapes like this one that are ment to sit on, from Beckman School graduate, "Bum" by Ida Björses.

Colourful pepper mills from Isak in a modern 60s nostalgic design.

By accident I passed the Bolia Shop on Götgatan in the south part of Stockkholm City and found a newly refurbished space. I just love this high and light sofa in pink. More tomorrow from Stockholm and Formex.

#FORMEX #STOCKHOLM #DESIGN #GLASS #KRISTINASTARK #ORREFORS

Sweden is known for it´s glass design and simple and functional interiors. Kristina Stark is one of the designers working in this field. She has gone from designing china in black and white to abstract paintings in the grey scale. Very simplistic and calming. I love it!

Kristina Stark has also done a new collection of vases/glass cylinders with a decorative rounded base. All hand blown in Småland/south Sweden. Simplicity in glass design at its best.

A close up of the vases shown during the Formex week in Stockholm.

Åsa Jungelius is another Swedish artist&designer known for her giant lipsticks in glass for Orrefors and Kosta Boda. Now she has joined the more classic designs of Orrefors by creating a small collection of drinking glasses from wine to champagne. Crystal Magic is the name. More soon...

#OPERAATTHEV&A #VANDA #TOPSHOP AND #FORTNUM&MASON #LONDON

I went to the V&A in London yesterday and it was a sunny cool and beautiful day. I admired the new entrance and visited the exhibition "Opera, Passion, Power and Politics. A very good historic story about how opera has developed. I missed more music and some history about famous opera singers. Otherwise a well worth visiting exhibition. Until the end of February.
The "Opera Shop" at the V&A had suitable curtains!
Took a stroll down Knightsbridge and went into Topshop just to find this nostalgic fashion. I had something similar 1976! What goes around comes around.
At Fortnum and Mason they were celebrating tea in their window display. Decorative.

More tea love at Fortnum & Mason. Now on to London Fashion Week Men´s. More about that here soon!

#GOODBYE2017 #HELLO2018

Goodbye 2017! I thought 2016 was to be the worst year ever, but it turned out that 2017 would be even worse...Highlights were some calm and beautiful times at our beloved house in Gåsö, Stockholm Archipelago but shadowed by deceit from close family along with lies, bullying, lack of loyalty,  and fraud. Something I thought never could or would happen in my family. We will continue to pursue our rights with honesty and persistence. And hope that it will get sorted during 2018.
Some highlights has been to explore the surroundings of our recent weekend retreat Llandelio. Among wonderful walks, we found this forest full of wild garlic. Took some home and made pesto etc. Yummy.
What would I do without my boys, my lovely little family. Hugo are in his second year at Uni in South Wales doing psychology and Bruce and I are struggling on trying to sell our house (slow due to Brexit)and start the next part of our lives.

Another highlight is the friendships I enjoyed getting stronger in 2017, Karin and Lotta. We celebrated Christmas together at the Smörgåsbord at The Swedish Church and decided to try to make it a tradition. Thank you girls. I will be back soon with some men´s fashion and more hopeful blogs...Happy New 2018! Now it can only get better.
