#THELOSTARCCAFÉ AND ARTS CENTRE WALES

We came across this cafe when travelling from Harlech in North Wales to our new home in Abergavenny. We drove through and was looking for a cafe and saw the sign that took us down by the river. As always I trusted my instinct for finding good places. We found a mix of recycled, vegan, new age, and a bit hippie's. A mix to love. Cafe and restaurant with a music scene. A modern and healthy menu with a lot of vegan and vegetarian choices. We had super salad with chicken and a vegan croissant and when we were there the first time (going the other way, i.e. to Harlech) we had poached eggs on sourdough bread with a Hollandaise sauce and beetroot glace. Really good coffees! Highly recommended for a coffee break or lunch.
The outside area is a mix of new and old and the start of a lovely garden.

Everywhere, vases with wild flowers, something I see more in my native Sweden than in the UK. Love it!

A mix of recycled and vintage furniture makes this cafe very welcoming and cosy.

Wild flowers on every table in recycled vases.

The chair seats covered in recycled material and on the table, stones with the table number on.

More wild flowers...

We had super salad with chicken (covered in homemade pesto) and a vegan croissant. Both delicious!

From the cafe you can take an hour long walk around the river. Perfect if you want to stretch your legs after a long drive! And beautiful!
