SPRING FASHION IS IN THE AIR

Well, I know, it is still winter, but what we need this last day of February is some spring colours and some uplifting fashion details. Lime green jumper with "built in" necklace. Mix with coral and some beige! www.tedbaker.com

New from my favourite shop www.topshop.com. Mix orange, blues, yellow and monocrome. Full of patterns and short socks! Note the worn jeans!

Even if you still need to keep warm. Spice it up with some zesty coloured fur collar! Mix it with you favourite jeans jacket.

Inspiration for the super trendy this spring. This is from AW14, House of Holland. Mix sequins in pink and red with shiny turquoise. Fresh!

Vintage or new. These are new and was shown at London Fashion Week two weeks ago. I remember wearing something very similar in mustard yellow in the 1970-ies. Look in your local vintage shop for inspiration and mix it up with all the pale pastels that are in the shops just now!

Harvey Nichols window during London Fashion Week. School inspired with springlike white jeans dressed dolls with oversized heads. Fun.

Look here all you who do not hesitate to add some personality to your outfit. Add some fake fur and frills. Really cool. House of Holland, AW14!

I just love the colour combination on this outfit. Light blue coat, red scarf and bright yellow boots! Matthew Williamson AW14! Mix it now!
The monochrome fashion is here to stay for a while, mix it with yellow shoes! Fresh for spring. More tomorrow!

LFW 2014 MEADHAM KIRCHHOFF ETC

Wonderful dress shown yesterday by Meadham Kirchhoff at London Fashion Weeks last day! Takes me back to my teenage years! Late 60-ies and early 70-ies. These baby doll/a-shaped dresses was part in most of the London Designers collections in one form or another. This one is for the exhibitionists but there will surely be more toned down versions on the high street!

More from Meadham Kirchhoff. Velvet in blocking colours and patterned. Girly and feminine. Again, I had a skirt like this in 1976! Take an extra look at the boob shaped line. Something that popped up here and there at this show!

Over sized Chanel! That is how this looks to me! Nice and dressy and quite calm for being Meadham Kirchhoff! Wearable and nice! Look at the platform metallic boots with the sweet bows! Again, takes me back to 1972!

This will be a hit trend in Scandinavia. Grey, warm, dressy and girly at the same time. Short duvet jacket with a woolly feel and the skating skirt with the new length (just over the knee). Nice and warm! Topshop Unique AW14. More from LFW tomorrow!

MY NAME IS PAUL SMITH - NOW UNTIL 22 JUNE @ DESIGNMUSEUM, LONDON

Yes, his exhibition that tells his story and shows parts of his office recreated are extended. It is well worth a visit, not too big and very informative and inspiring! You can also attend workshops and watch his story as seen by the BBC. This outfit though is not exhibit there. It was shown during London Collection Men in early January. I was there and said hello to Sir Paul. This outfit is for next winter. I love the quirkyness of adding a denim shirt to the otherwise very classical outfit. I also really like the oversized checks!

The new collection was shown in the Showroom of some very famous old carpets, dhurrie, kelim and persian etc...The new boots for next winter are "floor" inspired.

Sir Paul Smith himself. Always very friendly and approchable..

This wall filled with domino pieces is part of a whole room dedicated to the game. Visit Paul Smith´s newly renovated shop in Abermarle Road, London and see for yourself! Amazing store!

This is the recreated office of Paul Smith @ the Designmuseum, the "real Macoy" is even more cluttered and amazingly tidy, I have been ther. Did an interview with him a couple of years ago.
Some of his very special fashion shown at the exhibition @ the Designmuseum NOW and until 22 June. www.designmuseum.org
