House of Holland was one of the few fashion houses @ London Fashion Week AW14 to show jeans on the catwalk. Take inspiration and create your own fashion jeans. Tear and wear and add embroidery, stones, contrasting fabric etc...The same with the transparent blouse/top, add contrasting colours etc and make i your own. Image courtesy of Style.com

Wear the jeans with girly and transparent dresses with a Victorian touche. Note the turquoise bag and the pearly shoes!

#FASHIONTIPS BELTS

TODAYS #FASHIONTIPS #BOWLINGJACKET AND #GAUCHOPANTS

Bowling jacket, crew jacket, whatever you want to call them, they are very in again. In wool and multi coloured to padded, in sequins and glitter or just shiny! Wear them with the cropped "Gaucho" trousers, back again (was very in in the early 70-ies, I made my own in rusty coloured jersey). Here by Christopher Raeburn AW14, image courtesy of Style.com.

More "club" jackets, here padded in silky materiel and details in black and red! Worn with an asymmetric skating skirt and yellow boots! Oaooh! Jonathan Saunders AW14, image courtesy of Style.com.

TODAYS FASHION TIPS - CROCHET AND WINTER PASTELS

The assymtric fashion and mix with sheer and more heavy materials are already here. In winterpastels from lilac to pink and light blue. This is from Topshop, in store now!

Cool chic I "shot" at London Fashion Week a couple of weeks ago. Quirky red hair, spotted sheer and transparent shirt, MC jacket and a warming peace of fake fur around the waist. Get some inspiration from her and create your own style!

This lovely clutch made me wanna go home and get crocheting. For you who want it instantly go to Other Stories, if you are in London you can find them on Regent Street close to Oxford Circus!

TODAYS #FASHIONTIPS LILAC SUIT FROM MEADHAM KIRCHHOFF

We already know that trouser suits are big this season. This short skirt with the oversized jacket and black edging and girly shoes feels very "new". With a hint of Chanel and with sexy transparent blouse this will be a hit. Lilac we saw a lot of for next season but Meadham Kirchhoff was set the trend...I remember being over the moon over this colour in the early 1970-ies and wore it from eyshadow, lipstick to coat and nail varnish. Nothing new under the sun. More tomorrow! Image courtesy of Style.com.

TODAYS #FASHION TIPS - MIXED REDS AND OVERSIZED

The mix of reds from bright post office red to burgundy and with black and purple are already out there on the High Street. I love this version of it by Jonathan Saunders shown during London Fashion Week AW14. Over sized coat with high shoulders and asymmetric and "silhouettes" patterns. Instead of buying new clothes match the colours by mixing what you might already have in your wardrobe! Good luck. More tips tomorrow. Photo: courtesy of Style.com

#FASHIONTIPS AND IDEAS FOR THIS WEEKEND - MONOCHROME

I was spotted by the artist behind this window display (Anthropologie) and she took this photo of me! Jacket and trousers from HM (2011 I think!) bag made by a fabric from Väfveriet.se and blouse by Miss Selfridge! I am a High Street Girl.
The monochrome fashion, preferably in Black and White, are always PC. But now it is in the hot spot, again! This is me in a skirt I bought at Zara this spring, jacket from HM (2011) and in front of a similar skirt by John Lewis! So, invest in a few monochrome pieces and you will have years of use out of them!
This girl I spotted during London Fashion Week this September. Very fashionable in her black and white cape, stripey clutch and over the knee boots and round shades! Also note the very red lips! More fashion etc tomorrow!

#PASTEL TROUSERS AND 1960-IES INSPIRED SHOES BY #ORLAKIELY

Orla Kiely har set a trend for nostalgic shoe design. I love her 60-ies styles she creates in collaboration with Clarks. Shown here part of last springs collection.Photo by Ann-Katrin Berggren.

Weather you choose pink, light blue or yellow. This winter your trousers should be colourful. And worn with other pastels like here, Orla Kiely (again) AW 14.. I will wear the yellow ones I got from HM last season with a pink top!Photo courtesy of Style.com.

Flower Power for SS15! A preview of what to come in the spring from Orla! A mix of the 60-ies and the 70-ies. Mary Quant meets David Bowie! Looking forward trying these on and wear them with my yellow trousers. Photo courtesy of Orla Kiely.

TODAYS #FASHION TIPS - #SUITS AND #LIGHTBLUE

We saw a lot of masculin and "gender blender" fashion @ London Fashion Week in February. Christopher Kane showed this slightly oversized "suit" in dark grey! Always right! Lighten it up with some powder blue, pink or yellow!

Stripes from Paul Smith, what else. Note the different fabrik on the collar! Classy with oversized but slim legged throusers.

Matthew Williamson showed this elegant and timeless coat in trendy powder blue. I had something very similar in black in 1970! My favourite from this season. Match it up with red and yellow, fantastic combination to copy!

This is one of  HM:s versions, also in store  now!

Not for the shy, but fun i pink and lilac, fashionistas outside the the catwalks in London in February.

If you are handy and like a bit of DIY get some fake fur and make a collar in you own style. Just lika this girl that I bumped into London Fashion Week AW14 in February.

@purebarandkitchen IN #Birmingham

@purebarandkitchen.com (Waterloo Street, Birmingham B2 5TJ) Bruce had a modern version of Fish and Chips and I had cod with chickpeas, tomatoes and chorizo. Delicious indeed.
After a successful shopping trip to The Bullring in Birmingham and a cultural tour around Birmingham Art gallery and Museum we and my lovely husband Bruce were hungry. I spotted something that looked OK and we went in. My trend spotting we accurate. Really nice place! Modern and basic interiors with British/Scandinavian feel to it. Locally sourced food and specialised in beers! British cuisine with a twist and somewhat deconstructed. I like. Nice staff and friendly atmosphere.

Scandi-British Interiors.

Friendly atmosphere and staff!

"Trendy" interiors.

Wooden floors and classic chairs with old fashioned plants that are back "in".

Draught beer from Purity Brewing Co. I had a non alcoholic German Weiss beer. Nice!

Warm and sunny walls in the bar area.
