#GREEN #LIVING FROM #AHLENS AND #ITALIAN #FURNITURE FROM #SCANDINAVIANFURNITUREFAIR

Swedish department store chain Åhléns (www.ahlens.se)just launched a green collection. Fabric and footstool part of this fresh bunch of interiors featured above. Find similar green fabrics by visiting Chelsea Design Centre or your local well stocked interior shop. John Lewis are normally well stocked.

More greens from Åhléns, see above. Similar furniture can be found and Brisi in London.

White china and green and botanical tablecloth. Åhléns again but take inspiration and use your favourite evergreen fabric.

Earthy and woody in the kitchen with chopping board that has been treated to look uses and a bit vintage. Mix with marble and a bit of green! Fresh and vibrant for your home.(Åhléns, but similar products can be found at Habitat, John Lewis and Tesco.)

The head designer at Italian Furniture Company Lema had a wish to combine multifunctional solutions with quality and to integrate storage with comfort and design. This is how the idea for the stand at the Scandinavian Furniture in Stockholm this upcoming week (3-7 Feb Älvsjömässan in Stockholm). Sofa, Yard, has building blocks that make this comfortable seating option very diverse and the bench can be used as a sideboard or coffee table etc...LEMA.com

More from Lema, and from the fair can be seen here during next week and I will be visiting next Friday. Watch this space for more...

...more from Ximon Lee!

Spring colours from Habitat, greys and greens. Grey is the new black this spring, but black is always right!

Swedish high street fashion chain Lindex will shortly be introduced to the British Market. First out with a shop is London's Westfield Stratford. This chain has recently had Jean Paul Gaultier as a guest designer and fits in between HM and New Look on the English Market. Here, new women sports collection SS15.

MORE MEN´S FASHION!

Some more "fashion" for men! I did not see many beards at London Collection Men but a lot of shorter hair that reminded me of the first and second world wars and punk! Blond fringe at Berthold.

Pink was the big colour for next Autumn and winter (surprisingly) and I just love these suede brogues from Augustus Pili.

Ruck sacks are still a big accessory for both men and woman. This is Christopher Raeburns version in recycled life boat materiel!

And finally, on the feet of an Italian fashionisto I saw these shoes outside the Moschino Catwalk. Moschino?

#MOSCHINO AND #TOPMAN @ #LCM #AW2015 LONDON COLLECTIONS MEN #LONDON IN JANUARY

Topman was first out with inspiration from Carnaby Streets during the early 70-ies, Punk, Beatles and Ziggy Stardust. Fun and cool fashion for the younger dudes!

Tartan suit and furry coat! Think Vivienne Westwood and the Afghan Furs during the hippie period! Topman again.

The trendy guy will wear pin stripes in grey wool next winter with double breast and wide collar! Topman. Note the hair!

Moschinos catwalk was the most glamorous of the London Collection Mens weekend. RHS Langley Hall was turned into a wintery spruce forest and it was snowing. Well built models were showing of fake furs in animal print, golden duvet jackets and inspiration from the French Revolution (think Les Misérables). Fun and relaxing fashion with a crazy edge...

Gold, silver, animal prints at Moschino!

Golden duvet, jeans and animal print Moonboots. Perhaps your luxury outfit for next years skiing trip!

Tiger of Sweden showed elegant and basic top fashion. Next years must have jacket is definitely the bomber jacket. Worn like this over the suit or with jeans. Polo neck jumpers is a must!

Subtle checked suit in burgundy worn with a pink hoodie. Very trendy for next winter! Start wearing it like this this summer! Tiger of Sweden AW2015!

More from Tiger of Sweden. Jogging outfit worn with a shirt and tie and the short coat. Perfect look for AW2015.

A lot of inspiration came from the football supporters mixed with elegant Italian fashion. Like here, CMMN SWDN, thing Milan mixed with skinheads! Preppy and very wearable!

I did not see any beards on the models, but a lot of flat and shiny hairstyles or more punky and frizzy - or long and curly - think Harry in One Direction!

Emma Hedlund from Malmö is one of the designers of CMMN SWDN!

One of the coolest presentations was done in the underground car park at Westminster! Belstaff had built a bikers café and served te in mugs and good looking models in biker trendy gear!

Topman was first out yesterday morning in Londons Collection Men! Flirting with the 60-ies and 70-ies with hints of punk and Vivienne Westwood and Jean-Paul Gaultier they showed tartans mixed with jeans and bowling shoes! Hairdos like Oasis and with hints of David Bowie,  and Crazy Horses playing at the end of the Catwalk. Groovy!

#FEATHERS @DKNY AND CHIC #BOMBERJACKET @SUPERDRY

Chic in January with feathers, lace and crochet. Note the high sneakers, could be replaced by white or black skates for that sunny Sunday skate ride in town! DKNY, Bond Street, London.

For a younger and less formal style, chose this lovely easy wearable bomber jacket à la Chanel @Superdry, Regent Street London. Wear it with the romantic cotton dress with lace (nightwear inspiration).

#PAULSMITHDESIGN AND #PARSNIPCAKE TO WELCOME #2015

Welcome to 2015 and Living with Ankan. I will start this new year with some pictures from one of my favourite designers, Paul Smith, and his shop on Abermarle Street in Central London. This is were he mixes interiors (his own and others) with some of his fashion collections. Above some pictures of his fabrics and samples from current collections. I love the Still Life arrangement which looks so easy to put together and that is so hard to do (I know from experience having worked behind the camera with styling for over 30 years!).

Fantastic men´s shoes with sequins that makes you think of sardines! Only Paul Smith would be able to pull this off in this elegant manner!

He also know how to design a shop. This is his way to show off some of his upholstery fabrics. A common way of doing it in magazines etc. Note the background square of yellow!

And finally, a lovely cake. Think carrot cake but replace the carrot with parsnips and add more spices. Cinnamon, ginger, cloves and cardamom. Icing made from soft cheese, cream, icing sugar and cream. Recipe to follow on my food blog - beyourownmasterchefwithankan.blogspot.com soon! Watch that space!
