#BLUEBERRIES #FOREST #COWSLIPS #FERNS @ #GÅSÖ

It is late spring and early summer at Gåsö, an archipelago island just outside Älgö close to Saltsjöbaden in Stockholm Sweden. The blueberries are in full bloom and electric green! Lush and beautiful!

The island is full of wild Cowslips. On their last leg...

I could not resist to take some Cowslips and blueberries plants inside! Very decorative and poetic!

On my walk yesterday I shot these lovely ferns. The nature here is what they try to reinterpret at Chelsea Flower Show, welcome to Gåsö instead!

In "Dyviken" an early spring evening in Gåsö. The colours this time of the year are just gorgeous! More to come...

#TEATIME #CHELSEAFLOWERSHOW AND #CUTFLOWER #DESIGNERSGUILD WITH #JULIETGLAVES

One part of the Pavilion @chelseaflowershow was dedicated to the traditional English Teatime. This part of it was definitely not traditional! Fun!

More teatime displays from @Chelseaflowershow! More traditional but a bit reconstructed. Think Alice in Wonderland and Madhatters Tea party.

Tricia Guild had invited cut flower grower Juliet Glaves for a tea part with the press. Lovely yellow flowers that turned out to be purple sprouting!

A cake stand in flowers! Fun. More to come here from Chelsea Flower Show, watch this space!

#CHELSEAFLOWERSHOW #FLOWERS AND #GARDENS AND #RHS

Structural and very geometrical at Chelsea Flower Show this year. From "building blocks" in slate, concrete to wood. The typical English "wild" cottage garden is not in focus at the moment. Not so sure what I think of this...a bit too controlled for my taste...
Dan Piersons garden was the opposite and was actually a model of an historic existing garden (more about this later on this blog and on a special booklet about Chelsea Flower Show that I am planning to produce early this summer). Wild and full of "natural" blocks of stone etc. Lovely, like being on my favourite archipelago island in Stockholm - Gåsö!
Tea time was one theme and this is what Interflora did, giant cup cakes, teapot etc. Fun!
Press day is celebrity day! Joanna Lumley is a frequent visitor to Chelsea Flower Show. Here showcasing peonies etc.
This is just a sneak preview of what is to come, a booklet will be produced and a few more blogs published about this fab show. This fantastic Iris "Parisian Dawn" will have to present all the fantastic exhibitors in the big pavilion.

#PINK #FLOWERS #HM #COSMETICS #STIEGLINDBERG #INTERIOR #FABRICS AND #CHELSEAFLOWERSHOW TO COME

This is one of my favourite places on earth. The island of Gåsö where I/we (my husband Bruce and son Hugo) have our beloved summer house. I am currently doing my FMP (Final Master Piece) before graduating after having done an HND in Graphic Design, and will be a "Graphic Designer" from 1 July! As part of this assignment (the theme is "Space")I have created a little photo booklet about the house, the view and David Bowie. Strange combination it may seems, watch this space, more of this will come shortly!booklet

Trendy flower, according to the Swedish "Blomsterfrämjandet". Kornett, why not plant it in a recycled tin!

The famous graphic designer, ceramic designer and illustrator Stieg Lindberg, who was very "in" in the 1950s and 1960s are having a revival at Ljungbergs Textil Co. A collection of this textile design are being launched this spring. Very nice!

HM announced today that they are launching a new beauty line this atumn. To me it looks very classic and exclusive and the colours etc will be focused around the latest fashion. We are looking forward to it with big anticipation!

I went to the famous National Trust garden of Hidcote last week and saw (among so many wonderful plants and flowers)these gorgeous tulips. Next week is Chelsea Flower Show and I will be there on press day. So watch this space for more...I will also be attending London Collection Men second weekend in June so look out here for some nice men´s fashion...

#SUMMER #TEXTILES AND #ANGLEPOISE LAUNCHES IN THE #USA

Summer is soon here. And with that camping and "tenting" as we say in Sweden. More cushions are often needed. These are from Swedish Department Store Chain Åhléns but mix and match what you can find at Habitat, B&Q, Homebase, BHS etc.

Matching bedlinen "Herbarium" for Hästens beds by talented textile designer Ulrika Lagerheim...

More from Herbarium and Hästens Beds!

British lighting company Anglepoise are being launched now in the USA. This version of their classic table lamp has been redesigned by Paul Smith last year. I love it!

More from Anglepoise, here in company of another very successful and traditional English interior company, Ercol with their famous chair/sofa! See you soon!
