#ARTS#HOPANDCHAPELGALLERY #ABERGAVENNY #WALES #UK

Had brunch today with "local friends" (Usk) at the lovely Chapel Gallery (Artshopandchapel) in my new hometown of Abergavenny. A mix of cafe, artshop, gallery and restaurant in the heart of Abergavenny. With a calming little garden with a hint of Provence. I highly recommend a visit if you are passing by! Interior tips! To lead your customers in the right direction why not welcome some branches into to the shop!

Ceramic art at the Chapel by Clementine van der Walt. I love the colours!

More ceramics by Clementine!

Mothers Day is coming up in the UK. Last Sunday in March. Nice cards at the Chapel Shop.

Books, jewelry, ceramics are some of what you can find here...

The Art Shop are located at Cross Street not far from the Angel Hotel, all connected!

Why not just have a drink and a read!

We had a nice chat and a yummy brunch. I had Bayonne Ham and Celeriac Remoulade, recommended.

#JOURNALIST, AN EXTINCT SPECIES OF #HOMOSAPIENS

So here we are in Abergavenny. Bruce and I (not pictured) having a "fika" on our shared balcony. A new life, a new start...Whatever it holds. Since I lost the assignment with The Swedish Fashion Council (they cannot afford me, even though my fee has not changed since the 1990:s, I know, shocking") I am on a new adventure. Journalism unfortunately does not pay anymore when you are a freelance. So, I am at the moment exploring how to be a journalist "on my own account". On a blog? On my own Internet magazine? You will be hearing from me in this matter shortly. Meanwhile, I will keep on blogging a bit. Soon to come, interiors from Stockholm...

#COLOUR AND #WOOD AT #STHLMFURNITUREFAIR

Stockholm Furniture Fair and Stockholm Design Week started with a big splash of colour when Luca Nichetto introduced his new lamp collection in hand blown glass at Svenskt Tenn. The founder of Svensk Tenn, Estrid Erikson, had a collaboration with Murano glass as early as in the late 1930s and today Svenskt Tenn are relaunching her ideas. Little did Thommy Bindefeld (marketing and creative director) at Svenskt Tenn know that Murano is actually where Luca is from! Luca used the fabric "Terrazzo" as inspiration for his work and the results are stunning. I have not felt like this since Memphis showed for the first time in Milan in the early 1080s! The lamps sort of speaks to me. "Fusa" reminds me of ET, so Fusa, phone home!

First out on Tuesday morning, breakfast at the Design bar at Stockholm Furniture Fair where the bar this time has been designed by the Norwegian design bureau Anderssen and Voll. They wanted to create an oasis were you can rest and eat. All in untreated pine it does not only look very Scandinavian and blond but smells like wood as well. More soon!

#PINKISTHENEWBLACK

Pink is the new black according to the Dutch trend guru Li Edelkoort. And sometimes in this icy, metallic and frosty way. I am not a big fan of Disney-like design for kids but this party kit that I saw at Formex this January in Stockholm were just delightful!

Breakfast with Orrefors and Kosta Boda at Swedese this January with raspberry and yogurt smoothie and pinkish flowers in the new vase "Bloom" by Lisa Hilland.

Mini urns/vases in pink and orange. Just "the" colour combination of this spring! Knabstrup Keramik from Denmark seen at Formex.

The trend exhibits of Formex was created by stylist Jan Rundgren and pink was one big theme. Formex in Stockholm in January!

More pink from Orrefors/Kosta Boda, milky pink vases by Anne Nilsson.

Happy and crazy colour combinations that takes my back to the 1960s and Mary Quant etc. Silk, shiny velvet and burnt orange mixed together. Jacobson at Formex.
