#COLOUR AND #WOOD AT #STHLMFURNITUREFAIR

Stockholm Furniture Fair and Stockholm Design Week started with a big splash of colour when Luca Nichetto introduced his new lamp collection in hand blown glass at Svenskt Tenn. The founder of Svensk Tenn, Estrid Erikson, had a collaboration with Murano glass as early as in the late 1930s and today Svenskt Tenn are relaunching her ideas. Little did Thommy Bindefeld (marketing and creative director) at Svenskt Tenn know that Murano is actually where Luca is from! Luca used the fabric "Terrazzo" as inspiration for his work and the results are stunning. I have not felt like this since Memphis showed for the first time in Milan in the early 1080s! The lamps sort of speaks to me. "Fusa" reminds me of ET, so Fusa, phone home!

First out on Tuesday morning, breakfast at the Design bar at Stockholm Furniture Fair where the bar this time has been designed by the Norwegian design bureau Anderssen and Voll. They wanted to create an oasis were you can rest and eat. All in untreated pine it does not only look very Scandinavian and blond but smells like wood as well. More soon!
