#SUMMERTIME IN #GÅSÖSÖDRASTEUDDEN

First of all, sorry for not having been here for a while. On -"holiday" in Sweden in my lovely house. Been working on a book project, more about that later (early July). The weather started off being cold and rainy but for the last couple of days it has been georgeous! Summertime! The island is still quite deserted and I have nearly had it to myself, hence the flower growing through this bench. Come midsummer and it will all change...

This is where some of the gardeners at Chelsea Flower Show get their inspiration from. This is for real. The wall use to stop the cows from moving around to much on the island. No cows today, and no farmers either. I love the ferns that grow all over the island.

Not such a good sign (means it is not healthy) for the tree. But beautiful colours! Funghis grow everywhere...

The paths on the island go through the blueberry forest! I cannot wait for July when they are ready to pick. Blueberry pies here I come...

The most common colour of the houses is this "Faluröd" (red colour from Falun. This house makes me think of Carl Larsson (famous Swedish painter and artist) and his house in Dalarna. I am going into town today and will leave the island but will be back soon with more from there etc...
