WEDDING CELEBRATIONS AND A LOVELY COTSWOLDS DAY

Yesterday was Kate and Williams big day and in Chipping Campden we celebrated by having a street party that went on till about 5 PM when it started to rain and we went on to the pub and continued the party!
Today we went on a lovely walk between Snowshill and Stanton in the Cotswolds (close to were we live). We rescued some lambs that had left their field and got them safely back with their mums! Altogether four of them! Hugo and Bruce had to carry two of them too safety!
Bruce and lamb no 2!
In Stanton we had a lovely lunch with beautiful views at the Mount Inn. Very good food, nice staff and enjoyable interiors! Well worth a visit! www.themountinn.co.uk

EGGSTRA STARTER FOR EASTER EVE

Yesterday we went to dinner at some friends on Gåsö North. Nickan, our hostess, served these nice nibbles to the bubbly welcome drink. Nice crisps, Kettles or similar, sour creme and nice quality roe (seatrout). Lovely and very easy to make...they have to be done just before serving though not to get soggy! Enjoy!

EASTER CUP CAKES

I got inspirerd this Good Friday to make som Easter Cup Cakes.
I decorated it with typical Swedish Easter Sweets!
You need

125 g of sugar, butter (softened), and plain flour
2 eggs
1,5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp of some vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
2 tblsp plain yougurt
1 "fingertip" of salt
the zest of lime and lemon approx 1 tsp

Put the oven on 200 degrees Celsius. Whisk the butter with the sugar and then add the
eggs, one by one. Whisk in the rest of the ingredients.
Put in cup cake cases (mine from Kalasform.se) preferably in a cup cake tin since they then will stay round (I did not have one out on Gåse so they are a bit misshaped!).
Put them in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Make icing with icing sugar and a bit of water to the right consistensy (not to thick and not to runny). Colour and spoon over the cooled cup cakes. Decorate!

INDUSTRIART.EU

Went to a gallery last weekend run and showing materiel made by Hasse Lisskog and Eva Åkerwall Lisskog. Industriart.eu, where you can find the openingtimes and pictures of all the exhibits etc....I found it very interesting with all the elements of todays interior trends without even trying to be trendy! Recycling on a high level....nice! Ringvägen 77, in Stockholm, Sweden.
The table is made by Eva and Hasse from an old door from Evas birth home with industrial legs and laquered. She has made the concrete plates, bowls etc, very chunky and poetic at the same time!
I just found out that the chair that I had in my bachelor flat in Stockholm is designed by a danish designer, Viggo Boesen, in 1936! It has just turned into a sheep by upholsterer Fia Fox and is now a new family member in our lovely house on Gåsö in the Stockholm Archipelago...

And spring has finally reached the Stockholm Archipelago and we have a lot of there firsts signs, "Blåsippor", close to our house......promising!

SPRING IN MY GARDEN AND IN LONDON

Spring is definitely here and that means that I plant out new cuttings from my Swedish Geranium "Mårbacka". It has the most delightful powdery pink colour and poetic look.
Spring in London this year means THE ROYAL WEDDING between Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29 April. It is Royal Wedding Fever in the whole country! This is from the window of Paul Jones (part of the John Lewis Group), Sloane Square, London.
SPRING NO 3 IS NEW SHOES, In the daytime wear blond, natural colours as suggested by the shoe shop no 1 in London, Kurt Geiger, this window in Regent Street!
.....and turn into a bird of paradise at night by changing into colourful heals and wedges by night!
